Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend A.Gasimova / The head of US Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and former US Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Stanley Escudero, highlighted the significant increase in investment attractiveness in Azerbaijan in recent years.
Escudero said on 4 June that presently it would be desirable to develop investments into the non-oil sector in Azerbaijan.
"I am glad that the Government of Azerbaijan invests into the infrastructure," he said.
According to him, on 3 June, at a supper in honour of the Deputy Secretary of the US Commerce Department, David Sampson, who is on a visit to Baku, discussions were held on an idea to create a list of potential investors in Washington for their future involvement in Azerbaijan. "Investments into the non-oil sector will be intensified in the next two years," Escudero said.
