Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 October / Trend / A total of 211.3mln KW/hour of power was imported to Azerbaijan in Jan-Aug, 2008, down 69.2% from the same period of 2007. Power import was worth about $8.2mln, which is 59.9% less than in 8 months of 2007.
Import of cement clinkers totalled 615,100 tons (up 16.8% than in 2007) worth about $19mln (down 33.4%) of the total products imported in 2008. Import of cement comprised 830,000 tons (up 30.3%) worth over $35mln (up 12.55%).
In Jan-Aug, 2008, Azerbaijan imported 430,800 of gas, water and power meters, which is 38.1% less than in Jan-Aug, 2007. The worth of the meters made up about $24mln, up 14.2% than in 2007.
