Kazakhstan to have its share in Caspian oil transportation system

Kazakhstan will have its share in the Kazakh Caspian oil transportation system not less than 50 percent, chairman of the KazEnergy Association Timur Kulibayev told Trend .

"We will have share in the Kazakh Caspian oil transportation system," Kulibayev said.

Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Sauat Mynbaev said earlier that would own not less than 50 percent in the project.

The KazMunayGaz said the talks were held with participants of the consortium on implementation of the project.

"Talks on the Esken-Kuryk project [first part of the Kazakh Caspian oil transportation system] shifted to working stage. Negotiations are held with company-participants of the Kashagan project and Chevron," Kulibayev said.

Association of Legal Entities of the Kazakhstan Association of oil and gas and energy complex  KazEnergy was established in November 2005 to promote dialogue of the oil and gas and energy sector with the public authorities and the public, improve the effectiveness of social initiatives, and to serve as a catalyst to a new level of efficiency of fuel- energy sector of Kazakhstan.
