Georgia, Tbilisi, April 28 / Trend N. Kirtskhalia /

In January-March, Georgia imported about 70,400 tons of diesel fuel compared to over 65,200 tons during the same period of last year.

In January-March, Georgia imported 65,100 tons of gasoline compared to 98,500 tons in January-March 2009.

Import of gasoline reduced by more than 33,400 tons in the first quarter, while imports of diesel fuel has increased by more than 4,000 tons.

"In our view, reducing of gasoline import is stipulated by the fact that compared to the same period of last year the price of gasoline has greatly increased. As to diesel, despite the price increase, its consumption was not decreased, but rather increased.
