SOCAR exported about 1,3 million tons of essential oil products from its own refineries in January-August compared to more than 1,4 million tons over the same period in 2009.
SOCAR exported about 185,000 tons of oil products in July compared to approximately 167.300 tons in July last year.

Oil products in Azerbaijan are produced on the basis of two Baku oil refineries with total capacity of 20 mln tons of oil a year. Both refineries are part of SOCAR. It processes approximately seven million tons of oil extracted in onshore and offshore fields at its own expense annually.
Last year, the Baku refinery processed 6.03 million tons compared to 7.35 million tons in 2008. This year, SOCAR plans to process more than six million tons of oil at two Baku oil refineries.
