More than 80 people engaged in stealing oil, and over 50 vehicles - oil tank tracks have been detained and handed over to the law enforcement agencies for nine months of 2010 in Kazakhstan, LLP Semser-Security said today.
"For nine months of 2010 in different parts of protected oil pipelines 24 special measures have been conducted at the moment of committing theft of crude oil, during which 81 offenders were detained and 50 oil tank trucks were seized," the LP said.
In general, according to LLP Semser-Security, during the period from 2007 to 2010, activity of 54 criminal groups, engaged in stealing oil (2007 - 7, 2008 - 8, 2009 - 15, 2010 - 24) was stopped.
"During this time, more than 80 oil tank trucks and more than 150 people engaged in stealing oil were detained and handed over to law enforcement agencies," LLP Semser-Security said.
