One of the largest refineries in Iran - Abadan plant plans to increase production of oil products by 3.6 percent up to 430,000 barrels per day until mid-October. This will bring petrol production at this refinery up to 20 million liters per day compared to current 14 million liters, Mehr news agency reported.
Abdullah Mehrban, the head of the refinery, said that oil production will be increased by implementing the third phase of increasing production capacity of the plant.
The total refining capacity hits 1.45 million barrels of oil per day. Refineries of Abadan, Isfahan, Bandar Abbas, Tehran, Arak and Tabriz are the largest ones.
