The Batumi Oil Terminal handled 1.805 million tons of cargoin the first quarter of 2011 compared to 1.108 million tons during the same period in 2010.
The drop is linked with changes on the transportation market.
"Tengizchevroil oil volumes have been redirected to the Kulevi Terminal," the terminal reported.
Based on the terminal's data, the total transshipment volume from Azerbaijan hit 318,348 tons during the reporting period, with 664,713 tons from Kazakhstan, 49,185 tons from Turkmenistan, 15,899 tons from Georgia, 45,646 tons from Romania and 14,411 tons from Russia.
The oil transportation volume totaled 969,279 tons, including 9,244 tons from Turkmenistan, 296,998 tons - Azerbaijan , 647 138 tons -Kazakhstan and Georgia - 15,899 tons.
