The production association Azerigaz, part of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) completes the process of making the parameters of the gas transportation system of the Absheron district of Azerbaijan in the emerging electronic database of Baku gas facilities a source at SOCAR told Trend. Azerigaz deals with the distribution and sale of gas on the territory of Azerbaijan.
The process of making a database of 10 districts of Baku has been completed previously. The source noted that data for the Garadagh district of Baku is being prepared to be included in the base.
"The process of entering data on the Absheron Peninsula and the same on Garadagh is nearing completion," the source said.
"It is planned to complete the creation of the electronic database by the end of this year. The new database in the initial stage will cover Baku and the Absheron peninsula, but in the future we plan to extend coverage across the whole country. " the spokesperson added.
The database will have complete information about pipelines, stations, and valves that will facilitate a more rapid response to various problems, accidents and leaks.
