Kazakhstan, including national oil and gas company KazMunaiGas and other oil producers in the country are going to transport over five million tons of Kazakh oil per year through Azerbaijan, KazMunaiGas First Vice-President Daniar Berlibayev told Trend on Thursday.
"We acquired Batumi Port in Georgia and intend to load it," Berlibayev said.
In February 2008, JSC KazTransOil, a subsidiary of JSC NC KazMunaiGas, acquired Batumi oil terminal and forwarding company Petrotrans. JSC KazTransOil also acquired the right to long-term management of Batumi Sea Port.
