OPEC countries decreased oil production in Aug., the cartel said in its monthly oil market report, published in September.
“According to secondary sources, OPEC crude oil production stood at 33.24 million barrels per day in August, a decrease of 23,000 barrels per day over the previous month,” the report said.

Crude oil output increased mainly from Saudi Arabia and Iran, while Nigeria and Libya showed the largest drop.
Oil production in Saudi Arabia increased by 28,000 barrels per day to 10.61 million barrels per day in Aug. compared to July, in Iran - by 22,300 barrels per day to 3.65 million barrels per day.

Oil production in Libya and Nigeria decreased by 21,300 barrels per day and 51,200 barrels per day to 292,000 and 1.47 million barrels per day correspondingly in the reporting period.
