As of April 19, daily volume of gas supplied to the population and other consumers in Azerbaijan amounted to 16.687 million cubic meters, Azerigaz production enterprise of SOCAR, engaged in distribution and sale of gas in the country, told Trend on April 19.
In the middle of the second decade of March, this figure was 31.31 million cubic meters.
Daily gas consumption in Baku on April 19 amounted to 9.917 million cubic meters, and in the regions of the country – to 6.77 million cubic meters.
Thus, the demand for gas in Azerbaijan decreased 1.9 times as compared to March.
According to Azerigaz, the number of gas consumers in Azerbaijan exceeds 2.1 million, and the level of gas supply in the country is about 93 percent.
