The volume of oil extraction in Kazakhstan amounted to 78.5 million tons during the first 11 months of 2020, which is 4.8 percent less than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Industrial manufacturing in the country decreased by 0.8 percent compared to the same period of 2019.
Thus, the manufacturing of copper ore amounted to 106 million tons, which is 5.5 percent less compared to the reporting months of 2019. Manufacturing of petrol amounted to 4.1 million tons (increase by 0.4 percent).
Manufacturing of Portland cement was 10.3 million tons, which is 8.1 percent more than during the same period of 2019. Manufacturing of flat metal was 2.3 million tons (increase by 22.8 percent), of gasoil to 4.3 million tons (decrease by 7.6 percent), of electricity to 97.6 billion kWh (increase by 1.8 percent).
The committee noted that during the reporting period of 2020 the production of crude oil, natural gas, and the production of metal ores decreased as compared to the same period of 2019.
“The production volume of food, beverages, wood items, pharmaceuticals, and mechanical engineering increased. At the same time, the production of petroleum products and products of the chemical industry decreased,” the committee said.
