SOCAR's Bursagas starts gas supplies to more districts in Turkey

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec.29

By Leman Zeynalova – Trend:

Bursagas, subsidiary of SOCAR Turkey, has started gas supplies to Orhaneli, Buyukorhan and Harmancik districts of Turkey’s Bursa, Trend reports citing Turkish media.

More than 200 kilometers of lines were laid in three districts by Bursagas with an investment of approximately 150 million liras.

In addition, 110 kilometers of high pressure steel connection lines were installed and natural gas was delivered to Orhaneli, Buyukorhan and Harmancik.

Bursagas earlier said it plans to make 140 million Turkish liras worth network investments by late 2020. The company’s network investments stood at 125 million Turkish liras in 2019.

SOCAR Turkey completed the acquisition of Bursagaz, Kayserigaz, Enervis, EWE Energy and Millenicom from German Ewe AG in June 2019.

Earlier, EWE AG told Trend that the decision on the possible sale of its assets in Turkey is related to the optimization of the company's activity.

EWE Turkey Holding has been operating in Turkey since 2007 and is the fourth biggest supplier of natural gas in Turkey.
