Deal signed to set up Brujen petrochemical park in Iran's Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province

A contract has been signed in Iran to establish the Brujen petrochemical park in the Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province (western Iran), Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.

According to the report, the contract was signed between the Governor of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province Eghbal Abbasi, Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the province Sajjad Rostami, MP of the province Amirghouli Jafari, and Managing Director of the Iranian Investment Petrochemical Group (IIPG) Rasoul Ashrafzadeh.

The park will have six zones and will cost 30 trillion rials (about $714 million) to build, the report said.

“The petrochemical park will need 35,000 tons of polypropylene, 85,000 tons of polyethylene, 40,000 tons of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), 150,000 tons of urea and 10,000 tons of ethylene propylene per year for production,” the report said.

According to the report, a total of 3,130 people will be employed in this park.
