Iran’s West Oil & Gas Production Company fulfills its production plans

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct. 13

Iran’s West Oil and Gas Production Company (WOGPC) has fulfilled its production plan by about 110 percent in the oil sector and 93 percent in the gas sector, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), Executive Director of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC), Ramin Hatami said, Trend reports citing the WOGPC’s website.

He made the remark during a meeting in connection with production of Iran’s West Oil and Gas Production Company.

According to Hatami, over 6 months, 6 wells in the territory of the West Oil and Gas Production Company were repaired and the existing production was maintained.

The director added that Iran's joint oil fields with Iraq account for 45 percent of the company's total production.

"In addition, explorations on the Tang-e-Bijar, Dehloran, Naft Shahr and Samand oil and gas fields of the Western Oil and Gas Production Company have already been completed. At the same time, operations have been launched to develop the Sumar, Saman and Delavaran oil fields. As a result of these operations, production from the fields will increase by 10,000 barrels per day,” he said.

Reportedly, Iran's West Oil and Gas Production Company are one of three subsidiaries of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). The company has been operating since 1999 and covers the Kermanshah, Ilam and Lorestan provinces of Iran. The company can produce 165,000 barrels of crude oil and 7 million cubic meters of gas per day.

Over the next 10 years, the company plans to increase crude oil production by 440,000 barrels and gas production by 15 million cubic meters per day.
