BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. The Loshan Shahid Beheshti Thermal Power Plant in the Gilan Province (northern Iran) generated 1.39 million megawatt-hours of electricity, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), an official of Loshan Power Generation Management Company Kambiz Moradi said, Trend reports citing Iran’s Thermal Power Plants Holding Company’s website.
Moradi noted that the thermal power plant’s electricity generation increased by 12.5 percent, compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
“Meanwhile, in the 12th month of the last Iranian year (February 20 through March 20, 2022), the Loshan Shahid Beheshti TPP generated a total of 80,000 megawatt-hour of electricity,” the official added.
The Loshan Shahid Beheshti TPP can generate 360 megawatt hours of electricity in total. The power plant has two steam units with a capacity to generate 120 megawatt-hours of electricity each, and two gas units with a capacity to generate 60 megawatt-hours each.
