BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. The International Energy Agency (IEA) forecasts a steady growth in global demand for jet fuel/kerosene during 2022 at the level of 820,000 barrels per day year-on-year, Trend reports via the Agency.

The total global consumption of jet fuel/kerosene should reach 6 million barrels per day, but, nevertheless, will lag by 1.9 million barrels per day from 2019 level, which underlines the potential for further growth beyond the projected period, the report said.

“We expect that a large part of the demand response to high prices will come in the form of curtailed personal mobility and business activity. This will trim transport fuel demand as the year goes on,” the IEA said.

Meanwhile, the total world oil demand in 2022 is projected to an average 99.4 million barrels per day, which is an increase of 1.8 million barrels per day year-on-year.
