BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 14. A total of 1.7 billion Turkish liras ($91.6 million) has been invested to ensure the sustainability of production capacity of SOCAR Türkiye’s Petkim petrochemical complex in the first nine months of 2022, Trend reports November 14 with reference to Turkish media.
The Agile Transformation Model, which was previously applied only to on-site production and maintenance work, was put into practice for all functions of SOCAR Türkiye Refinery and Petrochemical Business Unit, including administrative units, in the third quarter.
Agile transformation ensured increased reliability, integrity, occupational health and safety, productivity and employee motivation. With the transition to the Agile Business Model, the motivation of the working teams increased by 5 percent in a short time.
Petkim is the first and the sole integrated petrochemical facility in Turkey. It is the largest exporter in the Aegean region. Petkim’s production capacity is 3.6 million tons per year. The petrochemical complex produces around 60 different types of products and exports to 78 countries. The complex meets about 20 percent of Turkey’s demand for petrochemical products.
