“Barmek Azerbaijan, the operator of the energy distribution networks of Baku and Sumgayit, prolonged payment of energy debt in the northeastern regions till 26 December,” Tanriverdy Mustafayev, the head of the Public Relations Section of the Company, told Trend.
According to Mustafayev, the Company resumed energy supply cut off from 15 December. “40,000 subscribers owe 8bn manats to the Khachmaz regional branch. If subscribers do not cover debt till this date, we will have to cut off energy supply anew,” he added.
Barmek Azerbaijan takes serious measures against around 40,000 debtors in Baku from 21 November. The total arrears comprises over 300bn manats. Mustafayev stressed that energy supply of over 3000 subscribers in Baku was cut off.
