Azerenerji Joint Sock Company (JSC) schedules to hold Astara modular electrical power station opening ceremony approximately on 5 February 2006, the Azerenerji vice-president Marlen Askerov said in a statement, the JSC press service told Trend.
Alternate commissioning of already installed and mounted generators since 15 January will precede this event. Practically all construction works in Astara have been completed. According to the Finish Warstila, which implements the turn-key construction of 52 modular electrical power stations in Azerbaijan of the total capacity of 450-460 MWt, set up and testing the equipment is currently underway.
It will generate about 50% of the design capacity in the first stage, i.e., about 45 MWt under the performance index of 46%. The volume of the gas consumed by the Astara electrical power station is 75,000 cubic meters a month.
