Oil&Gas Materials 6 February 2006 18:33 (UTC +04:00)

Рђzerbaijan suspended completely deliveries of own natural gas to Georgia, the Azerigaz Joint Stock Company (JSC) told Trend. The Azerbaijan side supplied since 23 January about 2 million cubic meters of gas to Georgia daily on the account of its own capacities due to the break on the Mozdok-Tbilisi gas pipeline, through which gas was delivered to Georgia. Supplies of the Russian gas to Georgia have been resumed now fully.

Along with this, the Georgian side continues to receive gas from Iran, under the contract, signed in the end of the previous month. Within this agreement Iran will provide Georgia with 30 million cubic meters of gas during 15 days.

Рђzerbaijan will charge transit fees for pumping the Iranian gas via its territory. As JSC noted, this amount will equivalent to tariffs for pumping gas applied on the CIS space.
