The implementation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export pipeline project will boost the entrepreneurs interests towards the southeast Turkey several times. Trend reports citing the Turkish media that the amount of capital attracted in the free economic zone Adana-Yumurtalik rose from $100m to $1.5bn a year, while the interests of the companies that opened their representations here by 80%.
The director of the zone, Muharram Pusat, said that the new companies have been mainly profiled in oil and chemical sectors of industry.
The success of Adana-Yumurtalik is linked with BTC, which will shortly promote an inflow of investments to the region.
The free economic zone Adana-Yumurtalik occupies the area of 4.5 million sq m.
