On September 20, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will hold a series of measures dedicated to the celebration of Day of oil workers, Trend has been told at SOCAR.
In particular it is intended to hold the exhibition of divisions of SOCAR in National Park. It was stated in SOCAR that the stands of the structural divisions of SOCAR will be presented in the park.
In addition, it is implied to hold a celebration concert.
The order on celebrating 20 September as Day of oil workers was signed by ex-Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev in 2001.
On September 20, 1994, Azerbaijan signed Contract of Century intending the development of Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields. This contract led to development of oil and gas resources of the Azerbaijani section of Caspian Sea.
