Aliyev / Capital expenditures on major projects in Azerbaijan operated by BP Azerbaijan are forecasted to make up $3,179bln in 2007, which is $87bln more than it was forecasted at the beginning of the year. The head of BP Azerbaijan, Bill Shredder, reported at a press conference on 15 August that an increase in capital expenditures on the project had been caused by additional work in the SDX-4 well of Shah Deniz field and at the South Caucasus pipeline.
Capital expenditures on Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field will comprise $2.569bln in 2007, on development of Shah Deniz gas condensate field - $378mln, on Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan - $170mln, and on the South Caucasus gas pipeline (SCP) - $62mln. According to Shredder, capital expenditures on the projects amounted to $1.597mln in the first half of 2007. Capital expenditures on Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli made up $1.337mln, on Shah Deniz - $177mln, on Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan - $52mln, and on South Caucasus gas pipeline (SCP) - $31mln.
Operational expenditures on Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz are expected to amount to $592mln in 2007 (Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli - $396mln, Shah Deniz - $196mln). Operational expenditures on Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz made up $255mln in the first half of 2007 (Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli - $180mln, and Shah Deniz - $75mln.
