Amount of anticoronavirus donations increases in Uzbekistan

The amount of anticoronavirus donations in Uzbekistan has reached 22.3 trillion soum ($2.3 billion), Trend reports citing the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction.

Some 20.1 trillion soum from whole amount ($2.1 billion) will be used to tax deferral, while 11.7 trillion soum ($1.2 billion) are to be used to defer payments on loans to individuals, individual entrepreneurs and business entities facing difficulties.

Some 870 billion soum ($90.3 million) has been used to postpone the property and land payment as well as payment of taxes for use of water resources for business entities.

Furthermore, 570 billion soum ($59.1 million) are automatically sent for families with children as well as for child care and for providing material assistance.

Cancellation of excise tax rates on gasoline, diesel fuel and gas alongside excise taxes on alcohol and alcoholic beverages spills out at 450 billion soum ($46.7 million).

As was reported earlier, 30 infected people have fully recovered from coronavirus in Uzbekistan. They have been discharged from the hospital and sent to a rehabilitation center.

Since April 1, Uzbekistan announced a self-isolation regime in Tashkent, Nukus and other regional centers. Citizens over 65 are categorically prohibited from leaving their homes. They can go out only to visit pharmacies and shops near the place of residence.

The first case of coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan was detected on March 15 in the laboratory of the Research Institute of Virology; it was an Uzbek woman who returned from France. The Ministry of Health later announced that her son, daughter, husband and grandson also tested coronavirus-positive.
