Iran reveals most exported products of North Khorasan province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25

Petrochemical products accounted for 77.3 percent of exports of North Khorasan province in northeastern Iran in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), Deputy Chairman of North Khorasan Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Amin Ghorbani said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

According to Ghorbani, 369,500 tons of petrochemical products produced in Khorasan province were exported in the last Iranian year. The value of these exports amounted to more than $89 million.

Ghorbani added that a total of 401,500 tons of products worth $115.5 million were exported from the province in the last Iranian year. Products’ exports decreased by 14.1 percent in terms of value and 7.2 percent in terms of weight compared to the preceding year (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019).

The official said that there was an increase in exports during the first 11 months of last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to February 19, 2020), compared to the same period of the preceding year. However, in the 12th month (February 20-March 19, 2020), due to the spread of the coronavirus, exports of products decreased.

"The province exported goods worth $135 million. The major part of these goods accounted for petrochemical products.”
