The value of Iran's gross domestic product (GDP) including crude oil, was 1.65 quadrillion rials (about $39.4 billion) in the first three months of current Iranian year (March 20-June 21, 2020) according to the stable prices in 2011, Trend reports citing the Statistical Center of Iran.
According to the statistics, this is a decrease of 3.5 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“This figure amounted 1.44 quadrillion rials (about $34.4 billion) excluding crude oil in the first three months of current Iranian year. This is a decrease of 1.7 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.
According to the statistics, the value of GDP including crude oil, was 1.71 quadrillion rials (about $40.8 billion) in the first three months of last Iranian year (March 21-June 22, 2020).
“However, this figure accounted for 1.47 quadrillion (about $35 billion) excluding crude oil in the first three months of last Iranian year,” the statistics noted.
According to the statistics, there was an increase in activities in the agricultural sector (cultivation and horticulture, livestock, forestry and fishing) 0.1 percent, in the industrial and mining sector -4.4 percent (extraction of crude oil and natural gas - 14.3 percent; industry -0.4 percent; energy 4.9 percent; construction -2 percent) during 3 months of the current Iranian year compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“In addition, there was an increase of -3.5 percent in services sector (food, transport, postal, city services, education, health and other areas),” the statistics added.
