A total of 5.38 trillion rials (about $128 million) was invested to the industrial parks of Bushehr Province (southern Iran) during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020), Chairman of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization’s (ISIPO) branch in Bushehr Province Mehdi Safavi told IRNA, Trend reports.
Safavi stressed that this is an increase of 6 times compared to the same period last Iranian year. The most amount of investments were made in Bushehr 2, Borazjan, and Bandar Rig industrial parks.
The chairman added that the investments were made to 78 industrial enterprises by 78 investors. As many as 1,566 people were employed at the expense of these investments.
"The level of employment in the industrial parks of Bushehr Province has tripled over six months compared to the same period last Iranian year," he said.
Safavi noted also, 35 hectares of land in the industrial parks of the province was handed over to 78 investors within 6 months. This is an increase of five times compared to the same period last Iranian year.
According to the chairman, so far, 859 contracts have been signed related to investing in the industrial parks of Bushehr Province.
"In general, 375 of these contracts have been implemented and the same number of manufacturing enterprises have been established. About 7.73 trillion rials (about $184 million) have been invested in these enterprises” he noted.
