BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 22. The loan portfolio of banks in Azerbaijan increased by 23.19 percent in May 2022 compared to the same period last year, exceeding 18.09 billion manat ($10.6 billion), Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
Loan portfolio of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 14.6 billion manat ($8.6 billion) in May 2021.
According to CBA, share of business loans in the structure of the loan portfolio amounted to 57.5 percent (10.4 billion manat or $6.1 billion) in May 2022, consumer loans - 28.04 percent (5.07 billion manat or $2.9 billion), mortgage loans - 14.4 percent (2.6 billion manat or $1.5 billion).
