Azerbaijani Communication Ministry participates in meeting of commission on international cooperation coordination

The 21-st meeting of the commission on the international cooperation coordination was held in Moscow, the Regional Communication Commonwealth said.

Representatives of CIS communication organizations, including Azerbaijan and International Telecommunications Union for CIS countries participated in the meeting.

The meeting was dedicated to discussion of results of the world forum on policy of ITU electric communication, preparation for plenipotentiary conference and next session of the organization's council.

ITU plenipotentiary conference will be held in Mexico on October 4-22 but next session of the council - in Geneva on October 20-30.

Participants of the meeting considered proposals to support activity of elected representatives of Regional Communication Commonwealth, preparation of reserve for nomination to ITU agencies, world postal union, as well as improvement of Regional Communication Commonwealth to increase effectiveness of work of the commonwealth agencies and optimization of expenses.

The joint meeting of three operating agencies, including Regional Communication Commonwealth's commission for coordination of the international cooperation, radio broadcasting and electromagnetic compatibility of radio electronic means were held within Regional Communication Commonwealth.

Participants discussed issues covering major elements of joint preparation and assertion of mutual interests of Regional Communication Commonwealth's participants at the world conference on development of electric communication to be held in 2010, as well as assembly of radio communication and world conference of radio communication of 2011.
