The Virtual Design and Technology Training Center has been established at the Azerbaijani Technical University.
The Center's main goal is the introduction and transformation of high technology, automation process, the formation of students' unique abilities and the commercialization of scientific achievements.
The Centre is equipped with the SL-10 CNC + machine tools, VF-1 machining center and HAAS Automation imitators, with the help of which one can make an initial 3D-modeling of design and machine details of major dimensions.
Intelligent management system is based on software-based Software SYMplus of R. & S. Keller GmbH.
The total project cost is estimated at 150,000 euros.
The Centre is also equipped with computers, electronic projector and interactive whiteboard.
It is planned to teach in the Center subjects on design by using management programs and machining technology based on CAD / CAM systems on the faculties of engineering, automation and computer equipment, etc.
