Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 28 / Trend H. Valiyev /
The installation of new seismic stations to conduct seismic analysis at the Shirvan Oil Operating Company's and the Siyazanneft Oil and Gas Department's oil wells is expected by late March, Director of the Institute of Cybernetics of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Telman Aliyev told Trend.
According to him, all the necessary inquiries on supplying seismic stations have been submitted and their delivery is expected within two weeks. The institute has also filed a request to supply three sensors.
"Unfortunately, the equipment installed at Shirvan has not met our expectations in light of problems with their operation. However, seismic stations, which have alerady been launched at five inactive wells at the Gum Adasi Field, have already given results that exceed our expectations," Aliyev said.
All of the stations are linked by a radio system, which will transfer data from the wells.
The sensors installed at the wells are directly connected to the station, located in the institute building, which will allow information to be received about anomalies in real-time. The information will be converted into signals, which will be transmitted via radio channel to the control center. Each signal has its own specific interference through which undesirable incidents can be predicted.
