Less computers prone to infection in Azerbaijan in Q2

Some 26.12 percent of computers in Azerbaijan are at risk of being infected via internet, according to the IT Threat Evolution Q2 2018 report by Kaspersky Lab.

Compared to the first quarter this year, this indicator decreased by 25.6 percent, according to the review.

Azerbaijan was 13th among 20 countries that were most of all subject to risk of online infection, reads the review. The top 10 countries with the results of 33.49-26.97 percent are Belarus, Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Ukraine, Moldova, Venezuela, Greece, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

On average, in the second quarter of 2018, 19.59 percent of computers worldwide were at least once subjected to a malware attack from internet.

Azerbaijan also was eighth among the 10 countries that were attacked by Trojan encryptors. Encryptors attacked 0.71 percent of users in Azerbaijan. The top 10 countries with the results of 2.49-0.64 percent included Ethiopia, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Pakistan, Indonesia, China, Venezuela, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh and Mongolia.

In the second quarter of 2018, Kaspersky Lab’s solutions repelled more than 962.9 million attacks from internet sources located in 187 countries.
