In January-June of 2006, 13.55 telephones fell on each 100 persons in Azerbaijan, against 12.8 in the first half year of 2005, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan.
Within this period, this indicator was 30.7 in the capital and 8.7 in regions.
The number of the mobile phones reached 30.6 for each 100 persons, against 20.3 in January-June of 2005.
According to the calculations of the same ministry, this indicator in 2008 may increase by two times.
