Uzbekistan reveals data on car exports for 11M2020

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 18

The volume of cars exported from Uzbekistan from January through November 2020 in physical terms amounted to 16,485 cars, while in value terms this figure accounted for $152.7 million, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The committee reports that car exports in Uzbekistan increased by $63.5 million, or 71.2 percent, compared to the same period in 2019.

The largest number of cars exported from Uzbekistan for the reported period fell on Kazakhstan, amounting to 13,812 cars.

The volume of car exports to Ukraine amounted to $8.3 million (1,112 cars), to Azerbaijan - $6.6 million (800 cars), to Russia - $2.2 million (376 cars), to Tajikistan - $1.3 million (149 cars), to Afghanistan - $1.3 million (100 cars), and to other countries - $1.2 million (136).

At the same time, the volume of cars imported to Uzbekistan for 11M2020 amounted to 23,334 cars. The total value of imported cars amounted to $418.6 million.

Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan imported 87 electric vehicles over the past ten months, which is 58 cars more compared to the same period in 2019.

Some 54 electric vehicles were imported from China, 12 electric vehicles from South Korea, and seven electric vehicles from Georgia. And 14 electric vehicles were brought from Germany, the US, the UAE, Russia, and the Czech Republic.

The total volume of imported electric vehicles to Uzbekistan as of October 2020 accounts for $2.2 million.
