The people and businessmen of Iran’s Ardabil Province looking forward to the connection of the province's railway line to Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Chamber of Commerce Hossein Pirmuazzin said, Trend report citing IRNA.
According to Pirmuazzin, the construction of this railway line should be one of the priorities of the new Iranian government.
The chairman added that preliminary steps have been taken to build the railway in order to enter the markets of Russia and the CIS countries, and the Iranian officials are expected to take necessary steps to implement this issue.
"In addition, the operation of the Ardabil Free Trade and Industrial Zone is one of the requirements of the country's private sector. This plan should be in the focus of province’s officials to be implemented soon," he said.
Pirmuazzin noted that the campaign to attract investment in the province is low.
"I want the new governor of Ardabil Province to conduct the necessary campaigns to attract foreign investors in connection with various economic projects in the province," the official stressed.
