BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 26. This week, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan announced that the two countries will be strengthening their relations in the field of aviation, Trend reports.
According to the information, the delegation of the State Unitary Enterprise Center "Uzaeronavigation" headed by Director Donier Dzhumayev arrived in Azerbaijan and got acquainted with the "Azeraeronavigation" Air Traffic Department (AZANS). The purpose of the visit is to strengthen relations between Azerbaijan and the Central Asian countries in the field of civil aviation, as well as to exchange experience and establish close cooperation for the development of this field.
ADY Container, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), presents to business clients an alternative transcontinental route for the timely delivery of cargoes to the destinations during the repair and restoration works on the Georgian section of the railway line Baku-Tbilisi-Kars.
In addition, cargoes will be delivered by ships from Turkish ports of Derince, Mersin, Alsanjak, Marport and Evyap to Georgian ports of Poti and Batumi along the new route. In these ports, the containers will be transshipped onto platforms, and they will be shipped by rail to the port of Baku. The cargo will then be delivered to the ports of Aktau in Kazakhstan and Turkmenbashi in Turkmenistan, and from there by rail to destinations in Central Asia.
Moreover, Georgia's Georgian Wings airline has announced the launch of flights on the Tbilisi-Baku-Tbilisi route on September 6. The flights will be operated three times a week: every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
