Kazakh President meets with Secretary of Supreme National Security Council of Iran

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev held a meeting with the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili, the press service of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
"Today, President Nursultan Nazarbayev received the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Saeed Jalili in his Almaty residence. The meeting was held on the eve of the next round of talks on Iran's nuclear program, which will be held in Almaty with participation of representatives of the five members of the Security Council, Germany and Iran," the statement said.
At the meeting, Nazarbayev said that Kazakhstan, feeling the brunt of fallout from nuclear tests, plays an important role in global nuclear security, and stressed that Kazakhstan hopes for a compromise to be reached as a result of negotiations and significant progress in resolution of the existing disagreements.
In turn, Jalili thanked the President of Kazakhstan for hosting the next round of talks in Almaty and expressed hope for their constructive termination.
