Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region summarizes 2022 economic data

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 21. Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region revealed that retail trade volume decreased by 38.1 percent from January through December 2022, compared to 2021 in year-on-year terms, Trend reports, citing Kazakh media.

The volume of wholesale trade reached 1.4 trillion Kazakh tenge ($3.02 billion) in 2022, which is a decrease of 6.8 percent compared to 2021.

The volume of industrial production from January through December 2022 amounted to 2.77 trillion Kazakh tenge ($6 billion), an increase of 1.5 percent compared to 2021 in year-on-year terms.

Prices for food products increased by 26 percent, while the prices for non-food products and paid services by 18.9 percent and 11.7 percent respectively.

The volume of investments in fixed capital increased by 10.1 percent.

Meanwhile, the volume of wholesale trade from January through December 2022 amounted to 34.88 trillion Kazakh tenge (around $75.3 billion) or 106.3 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2021. Non-food, industrial, and technical products dominate the structure of the wholesale trade with 79.8 percent.
