(gazeta.kz) - Kazakhstan is interested in co-operation on tourism with Malaysia. Temirkhan Dosmukhambetov, Minister of Tourism and Sports of RK, made such statement at a meeting with Tengku Adnan bin Tengku Mansor, Minister of Tourism of Malaysia, Kazakhstan Today correspondent reports.

"In Malaysia there are very good conditions for our tourists, in particular, the correlation between the price and quality, the sole failure is the absence of direct flights - only through Tashkent, which is very inconvenient. If we could organise charter flights at least during the hot season, in summer, in order to accustom them to a constant exchange by tourists. We would like your citizens to visit Kazakhstan too," - Mr. Dosmukhambetov said speaking to the Malaysian Minister, reports Trend.

The Minister of Tourism of Malaysia in his turn observed that his Ministry planned to send Malaysian tour operators to organise acquaintance tours for Kazakhstani people. "We would also like to bring our tourists to your country, because you have wonderful skiing bases, for our people snow is exotic," - he said.

According to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of RK, Malaysia annually receives 17 million tourists, and profits from this area amount to $11 million. 20 million foreign tourists will visit Malaysia in 2007, according to the Ministry of Tourism of Malaysia.
