A movement on protection of revolution and clearing the state power is being formed in Kyrgyzstan, Advisor to the President of transition period for political issues Topchubek Turgunaliev reported at a press conference today, July 28, 2010, news agency "24.kg".
According to him, this movement is needed for achievement of the goals of the April revolution 2010. "We cannot sit on our hands, waiting for repetition of what Kurmanbek Bakiyev did during his reign. The main goal of the movement will be clearing the power from close associates of the previous president, who were against us before April 7, and now occupy state posts. We should deprive Ak Zhol political party leaders of electoral right," says Topchubek Turgunaliev.
"My political party has already petitioned about non-admission of Kurmanbek Bakiyev's supporters to the parliamentary elections, however the case has got nowhere yet," Topchubek Turgunaliev adds.
"The law on lustration, prepared by me, has been considered at a session of the technical government. I think it will be adopted in the nearest future. This document will allow achieving the goals of the revolution of April 7, 2010," he concluded.
