Chief of General Staff of Kyrgyz Armed Forces meets Russian Armed Forces Commander
Chief of the General Staff of Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan Major-General Rayimbedi Duyshenbiev met with Commander of the Central Military District (CMD) of Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation (RF) Lieutenant-General Alexander Lapin, Kabar reports.
The sides exchanged ideas on current international situation, discussed current directions for further cooperation, as well as the course of joint command and staff training in the republic, the press service of the General Staf of Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The participants of the meeting emphasized successful implementation of bilateral cooperation, operational and combat training of the units in the Armed Forces and stressed readiness for further activization of the United Group of Forces.
After the meeting, the Commander of CMD of AF of the RF departed for Balykchy to participate in the active phase of joint command post training with the participation of the units of Ground Troops of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic and the CMD of AF of the RF.
