BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 29. Kyrgyzstan exported 99,133 tons of oil products worth $64.477 million in the first half of 2024, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the volume of these exports increased by 45.9 percent compared to 67,961 tons in the same period in 2023. The value of the exports rose by 40.2 percent compared to $45.980 million in January–June 2023.
The majority of Kyrgyzstan's oil exports—50,173 tons valued at $34.295 million—went to Türkiye. Uzbekistan was the second-largest recipient, importing 30,410 tons valued at $8.846 million.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $7.6 billion from January through June 2024. The figure increased by 9.4 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Within this turnover, exports accounted for 16.9 percent, while imports made up 83.1 percent.
Exports from Kyrgyzstan in January–June 2024 decreased by 3.2 percent year-on-year, totaling $1.3 billion. The value of imported goods into Kyrgyzstan was $6.3 billion, which is a 12.4 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.
