BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 19. The International Development Association (IDA) will finance the sustainable landscape restoration project in Tajikistan, Trend reports via Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan.
International Development Association, which is a part of the World Bank, will allocate $45 million in the form of a grant. This project will start in 2022 and is scheduled to be completed in 2027.
As part of the project, modern approaches and climate-smart methods of managing forests, pastures and agricultural lands will be introduced, which will help to restore natural resources.
International Development Association’s project development objective is to increase the area under sustainable landscape management in selected locations in Tajikistan, and promote Tajikistan's collaboration with Central Asia countries on transboundary landscape restoration.
