BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 17. Tajikistan imports relatively a small volume of liquefied gas from Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to asiaplustj.info.
According to official statistics, out of the total volume of Tajik petroleum gas imports from January through October 2022, which reached 329,000 tons worth more than $155.2 million, only 8 percent fell on the share of Uzbekistan.
During the reporting period, most of this fuel - over 86.2 percent - was imported from Kazakhstan, 5.5 percent - from Russia and 0.3 percent - from Turkmenistan.
The average cost of one ton of liquified gas imported from Uzbekistan in the first 10 months of this year amounted to $505.
As reported, Kazakh liquefied gas is relatively cheap: the average cost of one ton of this fuel imported from Kazakhstan in the reporting period was $483, Russia - $514, and Turkmenistan - $804.
