A European Commission delegation chaired by Ms. Assunta Test arrived in Ashgabat, the Neytralniy Turkmenistan newspaper reported. The delegation was received by the Labor and Social Welfare Ministry.
There planned meetings at the Finance and Economy Ministry that will mull further development of cooperation within the framework of the European Commission "Office to support the implementation and management of technical assistance programs in Turkmenistan."
"The EU attaches great importance to cooperation with the Turkmen state, taking into account mutual interests. Discussing state and prospects of cooperation on a number of areas, the participants reaffirmed their mutual interest in building an effective two-way interaction," the report reads.
It is expected that the delegation will visit the Turkmenbashi city to familiarize themselves with the national tourist zone "Avaza" and the educational process in an urban high schools.
