BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 22. The Baherden enterprise of artistic carpet making located in the Ahal region in the south of Turkmenistan has published production figures from January through August 2022, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.
During the reporting period, the enterprise performed work for 3.74 million Turkmen manats ($1.06 million).
The growth rate of production in comparison with the first 8 months of last year amounted to 100.4 percent.
Currently, the company weaves carpets of various sizes to order for administrative and residential buildings.
Turkmenhaly state association is the main supplier of renowned Turkmen handmade pure-wool fleecy carpets from Turkmenistan to the world market.
The main activities of the association are the manufacture and sale of Turkmen carpets, as well as the conservation of hand carpet-making tradition.
