ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 10. The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan held auctions last week, at which it concluded contracts with foreign entrepreneurs for the export of its products totaling $93.9 million, Trend reports.
According to the exchange, businessmen from the UAE, Georgia, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan purchased polypropylene and liquefied gas produced by the Turkmennebit State Concern, as well as gasoline manufactured by the enterprises of the Turkmenhimiya State Concern.
At the same time, businessmen from the UAE, Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan purchased terry products, cotton yarn and cotton fabric.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan's businessmen purchased polypropylene produced by the Turkmennebit State Concern for the domestic market for a total amount of 27 million Turkmen manat ($7.71 million).
A total of 51 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
During the previous reporting period, the number of currency transactions on exchange in Turkmenistan exceeded $37.5 million.
