The convention about Freedom of Association and Protection of the Rights has entered into force in Uzbekistan.
The document was signed on July 9, 1948 in San Francisco (USA) said the message from the Foreign Ministry.
Uzbekistan joining to this convention confirms its adherence to universally recognized norms for the protection of human rights, as reflected in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, which guarantees the right of every person to freedom of association.
The document forms the basis for the further development of trade unions, including on the basis of advanced international experience.
